Valve plate replacement on reciprocating compressors

We completed valve plate replacements on two reciprocating compressors for a local Cairns customer.

The compressors were over 10 years old, and only working at 60% efficiency. This meant the main freezer room was not reaching its design temperature.

Our technicians removed and replaced the valve plate assemblies on the two 4-cylinder reciprocating compressors, and after the valve plate replacements, the freezer room reached its set point of -21 C.
