MAE Refrigeration was engaged to supply and install a large produce coldroom, which we engineered to provide a specific environment and storage conditions for a mixture of produce.

The coldroom and refrigeration system was designed to provide high relative humidity at storage temperature, and provide minimal moisture loss to the fruit and vegetables under storage conditions.

The MAE team took care of all facets of coldroom construction, from initial site inspection, design consultancy, engineering, and final project delivery and commissioning. We worked with our trusted contractors to complete the installation of the coldroom, including panel assembly to form the room, waterproofing, install sub-floor heating, panel and checkerplate floor, insulation, door tracks, hinges and stops, as well as fit the doors.

Most importantly, we take pride in installing our specifically engineered refrigeration and controls system to keep the room at the required conditions.

Various precautions and quality control processes are carried out during installation to ensure the work is completed to a high standard and to ensure that the system is in and running for long-term, trouble-free operation.

System pressure testing with nitrogen is carried out to ensure there are no small gas leaks anywhere in the system, new liquid line dryers are fitted, and system evacuation is carried out to remove any residual moisture and air from the system, before charging the system with refrigerant.

All installations are carried out as per industry standard and OEM requirements.

The last step in the installation process is to carry out power and control systems installation and commissioning, and to make sure each room operates as per design specifications.
